South Tyler Rotary was honored to be the host site of the Rotary District 5830 Fall District Training Assembly on Saturday, November 2 at First Christian Church, Tyler. Approximately 65 District 5830 Rotarians attended the full day of planning, discussions, discussions and networking; STR proudly had 12 members present!
A special thanks to Dalton Dickerson, STR Service Director, for organizing and leading our “adopt a park clean up” of Bergfeld Park on October 28. STR started cleaning Bergfeld Park on a quarterly basis almost two years ago. A large variety of STR members have taken the time to serve our community by cleaning the very popular Tyler park location, which also includes the Rotary splash pad.
During the remaining months of 2019 and the early part of 2020, STR will continue to find ways to serve the greater Tyler community with the upcoming Christmas Parade on December 5, bike build on December 12, Salvation Army bell ringers during December, planned Blood Drives, and quarterly park clean-up projects.
