Shelbie Glover, M.B.A., IOM, is the President & CEO of the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce. 
She has been with the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce for 16 years, serving as the first full-
time paid staff member.

Shelbie was born in Tyler, Texas and moved to Pampa, Texas at the age of 2 where she was
raised and still considers her hometown. After graduating from Pampa High School in 1998, she
became the first female golfer to sign with Tyler Junior College where she competed in 2 National
Championships. Upon completion of her years at TJC she continued her education at
Northeastern State University. Shelbie continued her collegiate golf career at NSU, earning many
awards including:  2 time Letter Winner For the NSU Golf Team, helped take her team to 2 -
NCAA Division II National Tournaments (finishing 6th & 7th Nationally), First Female Golf All-
American in NSU history, earned All-America Honors twice (2001 & 2002), NCAA All-American
Scholar, Lone Star Conference Champion in 2001, All-Lone Star Conference In 2001 & 2002.
She graduated from NSU in 2002 with a bachelor's in business administration and stayed on as a
graduate assistant while earning her master’s in business administration in 2004. In 2014 she was
inducted into the NSU Athletic Hall of Fame as the first female golfer.

Shelbie has continued to further her education in the Chamber industry by attending the Institute
of Organizational Management. She completed her first 3 years of IOM in Tucson, Arizona, but
due to the pandemic she completed her IOM training in 2021 with the hybrid option through
Centennial Institute in Georgia. She is currently attending the Center for Chamber of Commerce
Excellence and will graduate in February 2024.

Shelbie has a firm belief in Luke 12:48 "From everyone to whom much has been given, much will
be required". Shelbie takes this scripture to heart and is passionate about volunteering and giving
back to her community. She is blessed with a career that helps make an impact and continues to
make the Lindale area a better place to live, work, and raise a family. She is involved in the
Lindale Rotary Club where she serves as the Community Service Director and Wilde Game
committee, she is a Past President, Paul Harris Fellow, and 2022 District 5830 Service Award for
Area 6 recipient.

She also volunteers for several nonprofits including Azleway-Texas Equestrian Gala Committee,
Tyler Rose Festival Committee, American Cancer Society-Cattle Baron’s Chuck Wagon Gang,
Smith County Delta Waterfowl Committee, Friends Helping Friends Organization, and supports
many nonprofit programs throughout the year.

Shelbie and her husband Trey Glover have been married for 18 years and attend New Harmony
Baptist Church.
