Nathan McMillan serves with the Smith County Sheriff’s Office in Tyler, Texas. Born in Tyler and raised in Van, he began his law enforcement career in 2010 as a Detention Officer before becoming a Patrol Deputy. He has served on the SWAT Team for more than 12 years, including as a sniper, team leader, and currently SWAT Commander. His experience also includes assignments as a Crimes Against Children Detective and Homicide Detective. He currently serves in the Office of Professional Responsibility. Nathan is married to Hannah and is the proud father of four children: Luke, Henry, Catherine, and Charles.
