🌟 Serve United — Volunteer Days in Smith County 🌟

Serve United is the signature volunteer event organized by United Way of Smith County, bringing individuals, businesses, families, and community groups together to make a real impact across our community. Formerly known as the Day of Caring, Serve United invites volunteers to roll up their sleeves and complete meaningful service projects that support local nonprofit organizations throughout Smith County.

Set for April 17–18, 2026, this two-day event offers multiple volunteer opportunities — from hands-on work helping nonprofits with facility improvements and community beautification, to on-site project shifts and group team building. Across the event, volunteers can serve in ways that fit their schedules, whether that’s a morning shift, afternoon work session, or both!

➡️ Serve United Highlights:

  • Multiple volunteer shifts on Friday and Saturday

  • Luncheon celebration to recognize volunteer efforts

  • Projects submitted by local nonprofits that need support

  • Opportunities for teams or individuals to serve side-by-side

  • Volunteer t-shirt and swag bag pick-up prior to the event

Serve United is more than a service event — it’s a powerful demonstration of what happens when neighbors serve together with purpose. Whether you’re part of a workplace team, a club, or joining friends and family, Serve United is a chance to strengthen our community and build meaningful connections through service.
