Nikki receives her PHF pin from Gov. Jeff Johnston and Quitman Foundation Chair Dr. Phil BandelThere are times when you know a person is completely caught off guard and shocked at being recognized. That was Nikki today when she was awarded her first PHF pin. Nikki has taken over our Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) and Interact programs. These are important but difficult programs regardless who is managing them working with various school districts. This year, we are working with Quitman, Yantis, Alba/Golden and Mineola ISDs. When Nikki hits a 'brick wall', she immediately starts thinking various alternatives to achieve the end goal(s).
