Nikki provides an update and a short video interview with the 4 RYLA students this year.
In the end, we had 4 Juniors from Quitman (1) and Alba-Golden (3) attend this years RYLA camp near Athens, Tx.

Students were picked up around 1pm on Friday and did not get back home until after 5pm on Sunday afternoon.
From Nikki's update, it seems like the students got little sleep over the two nights and had plenty of energy to discuss their weekend as Nikki drove them back home.  Nikki stated the tiredness kicked in within 20 minutes of reaching their home:  all sleeping.

From the questions that Nikki asked them, the students' answers were great.  Many of them facing and conquering challenges each had before attending the camp.  All wanted to stay there longer and many expressed an interest in being camp counselors for next year.

To me:  this is the biggest compliment/referral you could get from the students that attended.

Maybe next year, we can get students from Quitman, Alba-Golden and Yantis.  To date, we have only had 2 of the 3 schools with the third with no students applying!

Nikki has some great ideas for both RYLA and Interact (Rotary for HS Students) that she is working on.
