Each month, ETFB holds Mobile Pantry (MP) distributions at Quitman's Bud Moody Stadium and Mineola's Yellow Jacket stadium.  These are supported by various support organizations:  Rotary: Quitman, Mineola and Big Sandy; Pilot Club, Kiwanis and other local businesses that sign up to help staff for packing and distribution.  Although the PRIMARY goal is to FIGHT Hunger, the volunteer team CONNECTS with each family and has FUN.

In 2024, both sites are approaching 1,400 families served each month.  The only times that we do not distribute food are:  National Holidays or if severe (TStorms) threaten the safety of volunteers or people coming for food.  Some rain, wind or hot days does not prevent food from being distributed.  Since the Wood County ETFB MP distributions were setup December 2021, ~25,000 families have been provided with various produce and occasion protein (milk, eggs, chicken, ground beef).  But the protein is rare.   From 9-10am, the volunteer team will break down large boxes/bags of food into 'per family' plastic bags.  With 500-700 families, many family plastic bags are filled for each produce item that will be distributed.  Lots of work but the volunteers have some fun during the process.  Once the cars start to travel through the distribution 'pit stop', the average time is about 1 minute before the car is loaded and pulling out.  A team of 5-8 volunteers will 'man' each distribution lane for fast/efficient loaded.

Families can visit any MP of these sites as frequently as they want (the family just needs to drive to the site).  Visit https://www.easttexasfoodbank.org/programs/mobile-pantry/.  At the Quitman and Mineola distributions, calendar business cards are handed out for 2024 dates at both sites.

Families that qualify can visit the ETFB Tyler Resource Center once a week to choose the produce, canned goods and a choice of 1 from the meat selections offered. For more information on this Tyler Resource Center, visit:  https://www.easttexasfoodbank.org/tyler/
