About Us
Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary's people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.
In Mount Pleasant, Texas, our local club makes a big impact in our schools, in our local charitable organizations, and in community improvement. In addition to the role we play in Rotary International's global impact, here are a few of our local projects:
- Local school foundation support
- Annual Christmas parade
- Patriotic flag project (6 times per year)
- Annual golf tournament fundraiser
- High school speech contest
- Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) / leadership camp for high school students
- Various scholarships at both the high school and college level
- Students of the Month recognition program
- Elementary school dictionary project
