Club President George Schwarztrauber present a check for $500 to the Vestal High School Interact Club.  Vestal Rotary is a sponsor of the Interact Club's entry into the Canstruction competition to be held at the Oakdale Mall April 23-27, 2017

The Vestal High School Interact Club will participate in the 2017 Broome County Canstruction event to be held April 23-27, 2017 at the Oakdale Mall.  This is the first year Vestal Interact students will participate in the event.  The club plans to build a Vestal “V” as their structure and then use the space within the structure as a food basket to collect additional canned food items from the high school student body.  At the conclusion of the Canstruction event, all of the cans used to build the structure, as well as any donated items are given to CHOW.

In support of this project, the Vestal Rotary Club made a $500 donation to help purchase the canned food items which will be used to build the structure.  Officers of the Interact Club, along with Faculty Advisor, Ron O’Shea and Principal, Cliff Kasson, attended the March 27th meeting of the Vestal Rotary Club.  Club President, George Schwatztrauber presented a $500 check to the students at that meeting.
