Elk's Food Drive

It’s a food drive and it’s a contest!  Owego Rotarians will collect food donations for the Spring food drive of the Owego Elks Lodge.  To encourage donations the Elks make the food drive a contest and award a trophy to the local organization which gathers the most food.  Owego Rotarians won the contest in 2021 and aim to win again in 2024. In 2023 Elks collected over 2,800 pounds of food and $550 in monetary contributions.

Rotarians can donate non-perishable foodstuffs at Riverow Bookstore or at Club meetings. Donation dates are March 30 to April 20, after which members of the Elks Lodge will sort and distribute the food stuffs  to Tioga County food pantries.
