SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

The East Alton Rotary club recently awarded $9800 in scholarships to four area high school graduates. East Alton-Wood River high school graduates Samantha O’Daniell and Lindsey Woods received $2750 and $1950 respectively. Roxana high school graduates Allison Scott and Aaron Saul received $2800 and $2300. All four students will begin their academic studies at Lewis and Clark Community College. This is the 15th year that the East Alton club has awarded scholarship based upon academic and participation benchmarks that are reached during the students junior and senior years.
