As Rotarians we know the Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster: (4) the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. One method Rotarians can accomplish this, in part, is through membership and participation in Rotary Fellowships.

Rotary Fellowships are autonomous, international groups of Rotarians, Rotarian spouses, and Rotaractors who join together to:
* Share a common interest in worthwhile recreational activities (sports, hobbies, etc.)
* Further their vocational development through acquaintance with others of the same profession
* Make new friends around the world
* Explore new opportunities for service
* Have fun and enhance their Rotary experience

There are currently 58 board recognized fellowships.  As part of this years District Conference and our House of Friendship, we would like to feature as many of these Fellowships as possible.  We, the conference committee, are calling on all District 6460 Rotarians who are members of any Rotary fellowships to help us out.

First, if you are a member of a Rotary Fellowship, please let us know by responding to this email.  We would like to find out what Rotary Fellowships District 6460 Rotarians are a part of.

Second, we are  looking for Fellowship members who would be willing to share their experiences with fellow Rotarians and to answer any questions.  If you would be willing to share your experiences, please indicate that in your reply.

Please encourage other Rotarians in your club that you know to participate in Rotary Fellowships to contact us as well.  The success of this year's House of Friendship depends upon the participation of the Rotarians within our district.

If you would like more information on Rotary Fellowships, come and visit the House of Friendship at the 2012 District 6460 Conference October 26 and 27 at the Holiday Inn in Quincy.  If we have piqued your interest and you are unable to wait until then, please visit the Fellowship page at rotary.org:
