We had Rotary anniversaries: Joan Ficarra 11 years, Craig Reynolds 9 years and John Sbrogna 4 years. Happy Birthday to Craig on 8/3/15. Happy Anniversary to Joan and Gib and to Maila and Ron 20 years!!!!
 
Happy/Sad Dollars:
DG Jim F. brought the District banner with him….so far 22 visits to other clubs and glad to be here!
Abrianna had a happy $ to be here and 1st time in 2015!
Joanne had food/Foundation $’s, glad to be spending a.m. with all of us, she will be on a Tony week and girls weekend!!
Nancy had foundation $’s, great Cape vacation and will be going back shortly…
Nick had food/Foundation $’s, had a happy $ Joanne’s back and sad she feels seasick!
John P. had food $’s, went to Bethlehem, VT to visit Ben and Jerry’s and Cheesecake Factory had a great time and store is done…
Joan had food $’s, happy $ for Ed’s installation today, glorious weather as she has been kayaking every morning.

Rick stated for his year the theme was “Future of Rotary is in your hands”, pump on pool woke him up and that’s why he was late but got here at 7:33, apologized for not picking up mail…got reminder too late and on Saturday they are collecting food for the Cleghorn Center at the 2 Market Basket’s in Fitchburg for them.
Ellen had food/Foundation $’s, forgot her Rotary pin, glad her friend Noy is here with her this morning and she has her running shoes on as she and her daughter will be taking tour in North Hampton today.
Ali had Foundation $’s, no pin, too…Hubby and her played “hooky” and went to the beach with no kids and she actually got to close her eyes with no interruptions.
Gina had foundation $’s, going to Cape for brother’s wedding, she is redeeming her 2 sugar packets, here’s to her 2 brothers and word of the day is “Courage” and she was fined b’c she was cranky!
Jeannie had food $’s, needs change for parking meter, yesterday Kim from the Doubletree and gave them welcoming gift – cookies!!! And happy just b’c…
Maila had food/Foundation $’s, going to Harwichport for girls weekend and happy $ for Ed’s installation!!!
Jen had food/Foundation $’s had foundation $’s and glad Ed is here…
Ed had food/Foundation $’s, last day without kids as they were at basketball camp for the week and commented on free haircut!

President Leslie had food $’s, Ed’s haircut is official for his induction, glad to have Noy here with us, her girls weekend to DisneyLand, CA!!!
 
Ali pulled ticket #062 and Nancy Graves was the lucky winner who pulled a “two” for $2.00…Congrats!
 
President Leslie had Jim Hohman speak about what Foundation is and gave everyone a hand-out on the history of our club. DG Jim Fusco inducted Ed Perry from LCU into Rotary this morning. We sang “Stop the Spread of Polio” song that Leslie created. She also gave the Woodruff key to Ed from Jay Mayo and explained the history behind it.
Ed then gave us a brief bio on himself and very proud of as Treasurer for the Gardner Boys travel basketball. This is an outlet for children to play basketball. Also peer motivation and helping the youth in our area not only meet their academic potential but also how to be a good person/citizen. We now run this organization year round ensuring that the children of this area always have something constructive to do with their time.

  • 9/12/15: Million $ Meal @ Jennifer Peck’s house in Athol for 4:00, BYOB, bring spouse and side dish.
  • 9/17/15: United Day of Caring which we will be doing a group project…more to come!
  • 9/26/15: Johnny Appleseed Festival
  • 10/2/15 – Ficarra/Scapparone Golf Tournament @ Westminster Country Club proceeds going to the Arc
  • 10/10/15: Scarecrow Festival @ Sholan Farms, Nick and John’s party and Deb son’s big day….trying to figure it “all” out…more to come!
  • May 20th, 21st and 22nd 2016– District Conference, Plymouth Ma
