The Rotary Club of Westfield welcomed Chad Moir as its guest speaker. Chad Moir is the founder of DopaFit, a wellness center for people living with Parkinson’s in Western Massachusetts. Since his mother passed away from complications due to Parkinson’s Disease in 2011, Chad has made it his life mission to help people with Parkinson’s Disease lead healthy and fulfilling lives. Dopafit offers group fitness classes, one-on-one fitness therapy, and speech therapy for people living with Parkinson’s disease. DopaFit is an affiliate program for Rock Steady Boxing. Rock Steady Boxing is designed specifically for people living with Parkinson’s and uses non contact boxing to help alleviate some of the symptoms caused by Parkinson’s disease. Chad is Rock Steady Boxing certified, Delay the Disease certified, and the Chief Fitness Officer for The Art Cart. He is a board member for the American Parkinson’s Disease Association Massachusetts chapter and a public policy advocate on both the state and federal level.
