As a fellow Rotarian, Angel will speak about “How Being Part of History Turned into a Memoir”, which highlights some events of the turbulent ‘60s and ‘70s and her experiences as the first woman Air Force Officer assigned to manage an Officers’ Club on a fighter pilot base during the Vietnam War.  It also recounts some of the challenges, conflicts and choices she encountered and that are highlighted in her memoir “Angel’s Truck Stop: A Woman’s Love, Laughter, and Loss during the Vietnam”.
