Water Wells for Niger Presentation 2.1.11

Here is a photo of Jim Wakeman & me in relation to our "Niger Water Wells Project: August 2010" program for members & guests in attendance at the Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville's 2/1/11 meeting.Wakeman is pointing to the capital city of Niamey on a map of Niger. We're holding photos of the two water wells sponsored by our club, & I'm holding a small flag of Niger. Tom Berkhouse (thanks Tom!) kindly took the photo on our camera. Wakeman & Hammond dedicated 17 of 30 water wells in August 2010 in remote villages surrounding the capital city of Niamey. They and their other six team members also offered various forms of humanitarian aid, such as medical supplies, mosquito nets, seeds, funds for simple farming implements, clothing and school supplies. These wells were sponsored by several U.S. Rotary clubs, two of which were sponsored by the Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville, as well as an Interact Club, other organizations and individuals.
