Rotary Weekly Update - July 21, 2016

Kathy Entwhistle gave a happy 10!  Her husband is participating in the Boston Iron Man competition.

Chris Stout lived in Nice France for a few years and was thankful that no one he knew was hurt in the attack last week.

Jay announced that the those going to the District Conference should do so soon in order to be eligible for various prizes.

John Plum gave a happy dollar for the entertainment being provided by the Republican Convention.

Betty Wiest gave a dollar for her excellent treatment at a Mets Game.

Vernon Reed attended a celebration in Piermont NY for Bastille Day last week.

 

District Governor Steve Jarahian will be our guest speaker at our meeting on September 1, 2017.  He will meet with the Board of Directors afterwards. 

Rob Elfers take a few minutes to discuss calendar sales at our next meeting before our regularly scheduled speaker.

Our club will participate in a community service project on Saturday July 30 at the Ridgewood Stop & Shop.  We will collect food items for Social Services Administration in Ridgewood.

 

Our speaker today was club member Michael Tozzoli.  Michael is the CEO of West Bergen Mental Health Association.  Michael discussed his organization’s wide breath of mental health services provided to area residents.  Those services include counseling, therapy, group homes, support to families and others as needed.  To show support for the important work of the West Bergen Mental Health Association our club’s Board of Directors approved an allocation to his organization and the check was presented to him after the presentation.

 

50/50 winner:  Vernon Reed- that’s right 2 times in a row!! Michael T drew the ticket.
