Long-time Rotarian Jay Fowler recently began training for his first New York City Marathon. He writes, "At 66 I know that this race will be both a physical and mental challenge for me, but one I am more than willing to undertake to support the charitable work of the Ridgewood Rotary Foundation."

The Foundation is a Public Charity under section 509 (a)(2) of the Internal Revenue code and is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c)(3). This means that your donation will be tax exempt. In addition, since the Foundation is self-administered, every dollar you donate goes directly to the programs of the Foundation.

Your support will aid local families in need of assistance…provide lifesaving heart surgery to a child from a developing country… provide clothing and medical supplies to an orphanage in Haiti … provide support for the families of our service men and women …. provide disaster relief when needed…help rid the world of Polio and provide scholarships to deserving students.

I believe in the work that the Foundation does and I hope that you will too. Help make every mile that I run between now and the end of the race make a difference in someone’s life.
