ROTARY AWARDS $4000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS

Milford Rotary Club SCHOLARSHIP CHAIRMAN STEVE ELLIS awarded the clubs $4000 in scholarships at a recent meeting. Ellis stressed that it was a very difficult process and tough to choose from such a wonderful and talented pool of candidates. Following his report to the club, $1000 scholarship awards were given to four high school seniors. From left: Erica Poirier, Blackstone Valley Tech; Steve Ellis, Rotary Scholarship chairman; Elizabeth Fernandes, Milford High School; John Saras, Hopedale High School; Justine Lo, Nipmuc Regional High School and Josh Lioce, Rotary Club President. Poirier will be attending the University of Mass Amherst, Fernandes will be attending the University of Southern California, Saras will be attending the University of Miami and Lo will be attending Boston University.
