On March 3rd, The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn hosted the Volunteering in Fair Lawn Information Night as a membership drive for the many emergency service, civic service and cultural organizations based in Fair Lawn.  This event also allowed each group to demonstrate how they help improve the lives of those that live in town; the evening also provided each group the opportunity to network and discuss ways that they could work with each other to benefit the community.

Several members of the general public came to this event to learn about the volunteering opportunities available in Fair Lawn.  For those that were not able to attend, a list of the participating organizations is available in the download section of our website’s main page (left column) or by sending a request to volunteeringinfairlawn@gmail.org.

Special thanks goes out to Gary Haar of Dunkin Donuts for donating the coffee and munchkins attendees were able to enjoy during the evening.  Of course, this event would not have been possible without the assistance of John Cosgrove of the 501C3 organization of the Fair Lawn Community Center and James Graff, Superintendent and the staff of the FL Parks and Recreation Department for setting up the facility.

Volunteers are an important part of our community, visit the websites of each organization, call their members to discuss volunteering opportunities and get involved!
