THE START OF THE NEW ROTARY YEAR
On June 16, 2010 at The Brownstone House in
Both Clubs decided to hold a joint celebration to install their respective Presidents and Board members for the 2010-2011 Rotary Year commencing July 1st. Past District Governor (7490) Gloria Counsellor performed the duties of dismissing the 2009-2010 Presidents and their Boards and then installed the 2010-2011 Presidents and their Boards. This evening was made a bit more special by the induction of The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn-Sunrise's newest member, Maria Gonzalez. PDG Counsellor also performed the installation of Maria Gonzalez.
This year's Rotary International Theme is "Building Communities, Bridging Continents". Both Fair Lawn Rotary Clubs will be working together whenever and wherever possible to further the principals and ideals of Rotary locally, nationally and globally.
It was a fine evening of awards, camaraderie and remembrances of the many activities both Clubs participated in during the 2009-2010 Rotary Year.
