Once again, the Fair Lawn Community came out in full support of The Rotary Club and The Rotary Foundation of Fair Lawn. The March 6th Annual Beefsteak and Tricky Tray was a wonderful, successful, well attended, fun fundraiser. The over 150 people that attended this event were treated to great beefsteak, a wide selection of auction prizes and music by A Touch of Grey.
Without the generosity of the many local businesses and service providers that donated their goods and services, we wouldn't have been able to offer such a variety of auction items for everyone to enjoy. With this in mind, The Rotary Club and The Rotary Foundation of Fair Lawn would like to not only thank those that donated to this event, but would like to take this opportunity to ask everyone that attended this event to patronize these businesses as a way of saying "thank you for supporting the good works of Rotary – locally and internationally."
This year's exciting prizes ranged from tickets to a NJ Jackal's game, two Nets' games (one this season and one next season), and sports memorabilia to homemade cakes by Jean along with various wine, food and gift baskets to gift certificates for hair cuts, spa services and flowers to electronics such as an ipod and digital camera to power tools for any project to tickets to see the complete works of Shakespeare to savings bonds and even an Audi for a weekend!
The money from this fundraiser, which is definitely one of the most anticipated events held by the Rotary Club and Rotary Foundation of Fair LAWN, allows Rotary to work to improve the community we all live in. The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn will continue its mission to "lend a helping hand". We will continue to support the Fair Lawn Health Department, local food pantries, our emergency service volunteers, our students and our community in general.
