Spring 2010 Adventure in Santa Fe, Argentina

Rotary District 7490 is sponsoring an exchange program to Argentina for responsible professional and business persons between the ages of 25 and 40 through the Group Study Exchange program from April 17, 2010 to May 15, 2010. Persons chosen to be a part of this exciting opportunity will be part of a group of four to six Team Members plus a Rotarian Team Leader to see their vocation practiced in this beautiful country. In addition, the group will visit locations of vocational interest to all. Team Members will stay in the homes of Rotary members and will have the additional opportunity to see interesting cultural and historical sights of the region.

Knowledge of the Spanish language is not a requirement. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who studied Spanish in school, or where the language is a part of the family heritage, to have a chance to practice while learning more about how their chosen vocation is practiced in this exciting country. Education is one of the "Avenues of Service" within Rotary.

Santa Fe, Argentina is the capital city of the province by the same name. It lies near the junction of the Parana and Salado rivers. Its metropolitan area has close to a half million inhabitants. Santa Fe is the hub of commerce and transportation for this rich agricultural area; it is also home to two universities and several museums and is rich in history. This area is a popular tourist area as well, due to its natural and architectural beauty and exciting night life.
