Slavery in Modern Times Presentation

On May 17, 2016 Fair Lawn Rotary held a powerful special presentation on Slavery in Modern Times. Carol Metzker, author of “FACING THE MONSTER: HOW ONE PERSON CAN FIGHT CHILD SLAVERY” and Evan Robbin, Founder and President of BREAKING THE CHAIN THROUGH EDUCATION spoke on the topic of Slavery here in America as well as around the world.  

 

It was surprising and sad to hear the stories of how horrible people are still treated in this era.  It was good to hear how people such as Carol and Evan are working to rescue those in slavery and make every attempt possible to help these people and give them a life they can call their own.
