Rotary Supports Literacy

The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn is once again proud to be a sponsor of the Maurice M. Pine Library Children’s Summer Reading Program.  A donation in the amount of $500 from Club was presented to Kate Nafz, Children’s Librarian by 2010/2011 Club President Todd N. Malkin and 2011/2012 Club President Glenn Stubaus.

Support of the Children’s Summer Reading Program is one of the many ways The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn supports the youth of our community.  Local Rotarians work with the school district in providing school supplies to needy children in the elementary schools.  The Club also distributes dictionaries to all of Fair Lawn’s Third Graders.  The Fair Lawn High School Interact Club is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn; Rotarians also provide scholarships to FLHS seniors continuing their education after graduation and sponsors FLHS juniors to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award six-day workshop.
