On August 24, 2016 The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn made a $1,500 donation to the Food Service Training Academy (FSTA). The FSTA is a free 16-week culinary job-training program offered by The Community Food Bank of New Jersey that teaches students everything from knife skills to life skills. This important program provides graduates with marketable skills and changes lives.
Fair Lawn Rotarians took interest in assisting The Community Food Bank Food Service Training Academy as it offers this vital training program to individuals in need of fresh start. Since 2000, the program has graduated more than 900 students. Close to 90% are employed within six months of graduation. Fair Lawn Rotarians applauds the Community Food Bank for offering this program and congratulates those that have and continue to participate in this life changing program.
