Providing Educational and Therapeutic Services

Ken Berger, Executive Director of the CTC Academy joined Fair Lawn Rotarians at its January 5th meeting to discuss this wonderful organization with campuses right here in our community as well as in Oakland. CTC’s Fair Lawn campus provides an Early Enrichment Program, Pre-school, and Kindergarten at 29-01 Berkshire Road. At their Oakland campus located at 125 Bauer Drive, CTC serves children in Primary, Middle, High School, and Transition Grades.
CTC Academy is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides educational and therapeutic services for students with a diverse array of developmental disabilities through collaborative educational programs and support services for students and families. CTC first opened its doors as the Cerebral Palsy Center of Bergen County, NJ, on March 29, 1950. It began as a Center for children with Cerebral Palsy but over the past 60 years the organization evolved into an innovative education institution that provides creative education and advanced therapies to students with many different types of disabilities – students who face physical, medical and developmental challenges.
A multi-sensory approach is utilized in a nurturing and caring environment to enrich the lives of the students and maximize their potential while lending support to their families.
CTC Academy depends on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations to support its mission. The Development Department of CTC raises funds and awareness in order to provide enhanced programs, adaptive equipment, expansion of facilities and programs and extra-curricular activities for their children and their families.
