Interact Advisor Named Honorary Rotarian
 

Kristin Burke, Social Studies Teacher at Fair Lawn High School is also the FLHS Interact Club Club Advisor.  Interact is a Club sponsored by a Rotary Club for young people ages 12-18 who want to join together to tackle the issues in their community that they care most about.  Through Interact, students can i) carry out hands-on service projects;  ii) make international connections, iii) develop leadership skills, and iv) Have Fun!  Every Interact Club carries out at least two service projects a year; one that helps your school or community and one that promotes international understanding. 

In order to make sure that FLHS Interact Club members have a direct connection with our Rotary Club, the Board chose to make its Advisor, Kristin Burke, an Honorary Member.  Kristin brings enthusiasm and a strong desire to help mentor her students as they work together to bring positive change to our community and communities beyond.  Fair Lawn Rotary, as the Rotary Sponsor of the FLHS Interact Club, had always had a strong connection with the students; this action will further cement that connection to make both Clubs a philanthropic force in the community.

FLHS Students seeking an avenue to perform community service are encouraged to seek out Ms. Burke, or any member of the FLHS Interact Club to learn more about their projects.
