Fair Lawn Rotary Fundraisers

The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn has undertaken several philanthropic projects throughout its 60⁺ years of existence “to lend a hand to those in need around the corner and across the globe”.  Some projects are hands on, with little or no financial outlay on part of local Rotarians.  Some of our projects do require expenditure of funds so we may assist others as necessary.  These projects can and have included scholarships for FLHS graduating students continuing their education, providing dictionaries to 3^rd graders throughout our community, sending FLHS Juniors to a week-long leadership program, assisting the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad with storage/equipment needs, creating a youth helmet awareness safety campaign and providing much needed school supplies to children in need in our local school system.  Fair Lawn Rotarians have also assisted families in Kenya with water filtration devices, worked with Pedals for Progress in providing basic transportation to those without, provided emergency shelters in response to natural disasters through Shelter Box, assist in the on-going funding of a veterans’ food pantry and other national and international projects.

 

Funding for these endeavors comes from our fundraising events.  100% of funds raised by our 501 (c) (3) fundraising arm, the Rotary Foundation of Fair Lawn, Inc., goes towards our philanthropic projects.  The Fair Lawn Rotary Club has a dues structure to cover the costs of running the Club.  It was decision to ensure that all donations received from our fundraising events are directed to assist others when and where needed.  We have a long and successful history of creating events that are enjoyed by the general public that generate the funds needed to help others.  It is hoped that we will have the public’s continued support at our events so we can continue Rotary’s “Service Above Self” right here in Fair Lawn and provide much needed assistance to those in need.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated!!!  Thank You!!!
