The student members of the FLHS Interact Club continue to show that they are the Next Generation of Leaders in Service to Humanity.  Twenty-five club members participated in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk in Paramus on October 26th.  A total of $2,700 was raised for the Alzheimer's Association; through the students’ efforts in conducting two bake sales held at the high school ($200), “canning” for donations at the River Road (Fair Lawn) Shop-Rite ($600) and pledges for participating in the walk itself.

The Interact Club held a food drive during the first two weeks of November and is now undertaking a fundraiser where they are selling restaurant gift cards for $10 – these gift cards are valued at $25.  The proceeds from this fundraiser are going to the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation.  This Foundation is working with a local child to find a match for a needed bone marrow transplant.

Club members are also keeping busy by dressing teddy bears for a Salvation Army program where these dressed bears will be delivered to make hospital stays just a little brighter for children and to provide joyfulness to other children in the local community.  Interactors are also preparing to deliver holiday cheer to the students in grades K-2 at School 6 in Paterson.  Club members are preparing lists of gift requests for these children; Santa Claus and Interact Club Members will be delivering gifts to the children on December 21st.
