“The last renovation of the playground occurred over 20 years ago and it needs to be replaced.” Kim said.  “We are committed to raising the funds to replace the equipment while maintaining the natural and historic nature of the property so it is attractive, fun and safe for our children.”

During her presentation, Kim shared several illustrations of the equipment being considered for installation at the project. When completed, the playground will feature a play space that all of Mahwah’s residents can be proud of, but it will require considerable resources. In addition to the township applying for an open space Grant, she reviewed some of the upcoming fundraising activities the committee is planning, including;

-Coins for a Cause at Boiling Springs Bank - Saturday, Feb 23. 6 East Ramapo Ave Mahwah.  100% of the coins collected on this day will be donated to the project.

-Spring Fundraiser at Apple Ridge Country Club - Friday, Apr 26. Dinner, music, dancing and auction.

-Community Alliance Program - Ongoing effort at Boiling Springs Bank.  Designate your bank account as a Community Alliance participant.
