What an amazing program by Dr. Patricia Wright, primatologist, conservationist and professor at Stony Brook University! Dr. Wright inspired a documentary called Island of Lemurs: Madagascarwhich is based on her three decades of lemur research and her tremendous efforts to help save the rainforest ecosystem in which they live.

She has also moved mountains to help improve the lives of the Malagasy people - bringing them healthcare, schools, vocational training and clean water. BHR Rotarians are looking forward to working with Dr. Wright to bring clean water to 54 villages in Madagascar.

Special thanks to Aaron Isaacson (a.k.a. Mr. Spice) for introducing us to Dr. Wright and for his efforts to protect the lemurs and their habitat as well.
