In 'read more' you will find details of a clean up project in Lincoln National Park on 6/3/16.
People on Lower Eyre Peninsula are encouraged to “do their bit” for the natural environment of the Lincoln National Park on Sunday March 6nd. A Clean Up Australia Day activity is being coordinated by Friends of Southern Eyre Peninsula Parks .
12 beaches and camping areas in the park will be tackled if sufficient numbers allow all areas to be covered. Participants will enjoy strolling along the pristine beaches and in / around the scenic camping areas in the company of like-minded people.
Volunteers will be required to register between 9.00am and 9.30am at the Park Entrance where they will be provided with a map of the park as well as rubbish / recycling bags. The filled bags are to be left at the Rubbish Pick-up cul-de-sac just before the park entrance on the way out.
A free sausage- sizzle will be held at Stamford Beach at 12 noon for all participants.
People are encouraged to wear sun-protective clothing / sun screen and to bring hats, drinks, gloves and any useful picking-up tools. Children aged 12 years or under need to be supervised by a responsible adult.
