The Tunarama festival made it possible for Rotary to raise $7100 to go toward its ongoing programs, some of which are the Pinery fire recovery effort and the Youth drop in centre behind the Flinders Theatre. This would not have been possible without the  magnificent support of Tony’s Tuna, Cleanseas, Australia Bight Seafoods  and Odyssey Oysters and many hours of Rotarians time.
It is a big job preparing, setting up selling and then cleaning up, the public obviously appreciate the alternative to carnival food or our stall would not be so well supported, a number of visitors come regularly for the only chance they have to have a Tuna or Kingfish meal, they are only available at such reasonable prices because of the generosity of our sponsors who do it year after year.
Now the visitors have gone and the dust has settled it is back to normal and time to get on with what we do for the rest of the year, anyone interested in becoming involved can contact any Rotarian. Our current major project is grape picking at Boston Bay Wines for the next few weeks.
