District Council's Decision for our Coin Spinner at Airport

Re: Fundraiser - Port Lincoln Airport Terminal

Thank you for your correspondence dated 24 June 2013 seeking approval to place a "Money Spinner" within the new Port Lincoln Airport terminal building.

Your request was considered by Council at the 19 July meeting with the follow resolution:

That the Rotary Club of Port Lincoln be advised that Council will require the building to be operational for a period of 6 months before considering the opportunities for their or other community groups to utilise the Terminal for fund raising.

The Council appreciates the amount of fundraising that is generated through the airport terminal by the Rotary Club but is cautious in being seen to limit or restrict opportunities for other community service groups. The deferral is to allow the normal operations of the building to be assessed before progressing with further discussions.
