Olean Rotary Continues to Support Bach's Lunch

The Bach’s lunch concert at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Basilica was a switch this year, it was a Brass ensemble lead by Nick DelBello, conducting.  Nick is one of the three finalists for Music Director for the Southern Tier Symphony, he will also be conducting their May concert series.   The ensemble included trumpets, trombones; bass trombone, tuba, and french horns.  The Rotary Club was mentioned in the program as providing support for the Bach’s lunch concerts.  (Notes provided for MKW by Jody Spears.)

 

The regular noon meeting was cancelled to encourage members to attend the concert first envisioned and supported deceased Rotarian John Whitney, who was the founding director of the Southern Tier Symphony.
