> Barb opened the meeting in the traditional way with members assisting with the prayer and pledge.
>Barb pinned the Paul Harris Fellow award on Jody Spears. See picture and separate story.
>Barb thanked Mary Kay, Carl, & Tony for all the the work they have done to support the club and her year. Then she called up members as "Unsung Heroes," giving each a special gift with her thanks for their tireless commitment to Rotary and her presidency. Recognized were: Patti Gulnac, Risa Michienzi, Sandy Sleggs, Jody Spears, Dennis Casey, Elena Bombadier, and Dave Meyers (absent). See photo above. The club members present gave Barb a standing ovation for her service to the club in 2016-17.

>Tori Gulnac also spoke, sharing her phenomenal experience in District 7090 Slapshot in Canada. Tori was so inspired she hopes to begin a ROTARACT Club at California University in Pennsylvania this fall where she is enrolled with a BIG swimming scholarship! Good luck, Tori!
>Mary Kay gave brief updates on: Raymour and Flanagan event opportunity, the Silent Policeman project, the Rotary International Convention in Atlanta, and sad news that the Salamanca Rotary Club has folded. Dennis noted that Salamanca was the club that chartered our Olean Club.
>Converstaion was enjoyed over our great meal!
>Patti's first meeting as president will be July 11.
