> Elena brought instructions for MUM pickup & delivery. THANK YOU to all who did their part. At Elena's request, Mary Kay did a social media THANK YOU on our Rotary FaceBook page. 238 mums were ordered. Members, please collect and turn in money. Stay tuned for profits.
> CLUB PHOTO NEXT WEEK- Sept 20. Spiff up & show up!
> Board of Directors meeting today immediately after the regular meeting. Board of Directors should notify in advance if they are unable to attend. A quorum of 7 is needed to conduct business.
> President Barb presented Dan (and Terri) with our tickets to see Olean Community Theatre's production of Man of La Mancha on Sept 23. The club buys an annual membership of $100, giving us 2 tickets for each show and our name in the programs.
> President Barb confirmed the club agreement to have Jody order mugs to give to speakers as a gift.
> Mary Kay thanked Kim Payne for her willingness to drive [redacted] , our Youth Exchange Student from Italy, to Inbound Orientation on Friday, Sept 16. Doug Price will bring her back to Mary Kay's home on Sunday.
> Mary Kay is attending the mandatory Grant Training in Buffalo for the club on Saturday, Sept 17. One other member MUST go to represent the club at the second training in November. See the EVENTS listing for details.
> As Assistant Governor Mary Kay put a plug in for members to consider going to the District Conference in Batavia in October. There are great opportunities for service built into the weekend. Jody will ask the board to approve $300 giving us 200 packaged meals to feed 6 at our local food banks.
> World Polio Day is Oct 24. In an effort to raise funds for Polio Plus at the District level every area will have one rider for a 60 minute bike-a-thon on a stationary bike on Saturday afternoon at the District 7090 conference at Batavia Downs. Mary Kay will try to secure a ROTARACT student to ride to represent Olean, Salamanca, & Ellicottville Area 15 clubs. All members are encouraged to sponsor and get OTHER sponsors, too.
> President Barb asked for assistance with a program for Sept 27. Mary Kay volunteered as she is scheduling October programs now.
> President Barb also asked Al & Dennis to assist with recruiting a new President Elect. Mary Kay has some suggestions for alternative models.
