Fines: Al was on duty collecting happy dollars, travel fines, and the details escaped me as I was enjoying the size of the group and the energy in the room! OLEAN ROTARY ROCKS!
Club business:
> President Barb introduced guests.
>Special SHORT board of director's meeting right after our noon meeting today. (NOTES: 1. Approved increasing budget line of $500 to the needed $600+ for this year's dictionaries. 2. Approved signing papers to set up the OLEAN ROTARY COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT FUND with the Cattaraugus Regional Community Foundation. All donations and payouts associated with the Silent Policeman and other identified community work will be managed through this fund with our treasurer as the lead connection with the club. Mary Kay Worth is the current Project Coordinator. $550 in cash/checks delivered to CRCF today to begin the process.)

>Doug Price thanked members for assisting with our annual grade 3 Dictionary distribution. Other schools are scheduled. Members are needed, encouraged to help for one of these very special ceremonies with kids! THANK YOU, DOUG, FOR YOUR LEADERSHIP IN THIS IMPORTANT SERVICE TO KIDS AND EDUCATION!
>Jim Gulnac gave a brief update on the progress with the City of Olean regarding site preparation for our Silent Policeman. Crandall's Memorials is going to donate their time and expertise in storing the stone, moving the stone to the Lincoln Park site, and sealing the stone. Be sure to THANK THEM!
>Mary Kay Worth routed the member challenge sign-up for those who missed the opportunity last week. Carl & Mary Kay donated $500 each, asking for the members of the club to collectively match or exceed their donation. Member response has been AWESOME! Make checks payable to CRCF to get your tax deduction!
>Tony Evans announced approval of Victoria (Tori) Gulnac for SLAPSHOT in April. Donations to support boy scouts and summer camping scholarships are being collected. AND.... Tony has been cleared through Albany and his role in the County Youth Service division to award $500 grants to EACH of our Interact clubs to do a service project in the community! Whoo-hoo!
