>President Barb again asked to club to give a round of applause for Rotarians Jody (brought the idea to the club), Jim & Mary Kay for their time and energies in moving our signature project forward.
>Jim Gulnac reviewed Board of Director decision to assume responsibility for fund raising for the Silent Policeman Project. He met with Mayor Bill Aiello prior to today's meeting to lay groundwork for city assumption of site costs. Jim has also proposed that the city establish a Cittizen's COmmittee for Improvement of Lincoln Park. Jim and Dennis will be meeting with Crandalls to discuss details associated with the project that they will assist with. Jim also shared with the Mayor the 2017-18 Rotary International Tree Program hoping to get Rotarians involved with planting trees in local communities. There will be no sale of brick pavers for this project. Interact & Rotaract involvement will be sought and utilized. Brief discussion on ordering of Brass Wheel for the head. 2 club members have donated $500 each, so there is $$ to order it.
>Patty noted members welcome to attend the Olean Interact Club meeting at 3pm at OHS on Tues Feb 28. They usually meet on the stage.
