Many thanks to Rob McLennan for taking on the role of President for the past five weeks while I was journeying in Europe & UK. Excellent job, thanks Rob.
This coming Thursday will be a breakfast meeting at the South Terrace Croquet Club, followed by a Board Meeting. All welcome to stay if you have the time to attend.
Rob was also busy this week organising rosters to help out Norwood Club at their Friday BBQ and our own BBQ last Monday. Good profits from both events. Thanks to John, Di and Rob for helping Norwood; and Paul J, Alison, Richard, Di, Paul E, John, Lili, Bruce, Ian and Fred for filling in the roster.

A musical director was having a lot of trouble with one drummer. He talked and talked and talked with the drummer, but his performance simply didn't improve.
Finally, before the whole orchestra, he said, "When a musician just can't handle his instrument and doesn't improve when given help, they take away the instrument, and give him two sticks, and make him a drummer."
A stage whisper was heard from the percussion section: "And if he can't handle even that, they take away one of his sticks and make him a conductor."
