At last week’s breakfast meeting, we had a wonderful surprise guest – former member Terry Rodoni. He had a great reason to be in Adelaide – the Gather Round – so he could barrack for his beloved Collingwood.
Terry became our guest speaker, catching us up on his life since he returned home to Victoria many years ago. Thanks for coming Terry, it was great to see you again.
Our Board meeting was relocated to a nearby café in Hutt Street. Minutes of meeting will be sent to members by our Secretary Di in the next few weeks.

Embolden's Domestic & Family Violence Candlelight Vigil will take place on Wednesday 6 May, marking Domestic and Family Violence Remembrance Day. This day is dedicated to honouring the memory of those whose lives have been taken due to domestic and family violence.
This year's Vigil will have a focus on the impacts of domestic and family violence on children and young people, and include music from young Nukunu singer-songwriter Tilly Tjala Thomas.

Smith goes to see his supervisor in the front office.
“Boss,” he says, “we’re doing some heavy house-cleaning at home tomorrow, and my wife needs me to help with the attic and the garage, moving and hauling stuff.”
“We’re short-handed, Smith” the boss replies. “I can’t give you the day off.”
