Bookings opened: Update re RCG1 “Building a Safer Future – Together” dinner on Tuesday, 24 February 2025 at the Skyline Restaurant at Rydges Adelaide, 1 South Terrace, Adelaide. The Rotary Metropolitan Adelaide Clubs Community Group Dinner’s major guest speakers will be Ms Mary Leaker, CEO of Embolden, and the Hon Katrine Hildyard, Minister for Domestic, Family & Sexual Violence. It is also requested that guests bring a non-perishable item to support our “Shop & Share” project (these donations will be provided to domestic violence services in April). Adding to the ambience, the beautiful voices of the Adelaide City Choir, led by Rotarian Jyoti Singh, will perform. Master of Ceremonies will be Greg Knagge. On Wednesday 4 March, the Women in Rotary SA Chapter will be holding its annual International Women’s Day breakfast; all are invited to attend. This year it will be held at the Arkaba Hotel’s Top Room from 7am-9am and the guest speaker will be Kate Croser, CEO SA Film Corporation. “Wow! That’s really fascinating,” said a fellow in the audience, “how can you age it so accurately to the year?”
“Well that’s simple” answered the old chap, “they were two million years old when I started working here 69 years ago.”
