It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of Angela Rodini , the wife of past much valued member Terry Rodini.
Terry and Ange relocated to Ballarat after many happy years Adelaide and those who knew her will remember her smile, great Hospitality and her enthusiasm for the Carlton Football Club.
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Adelaide Light, I wish to offer our sincere condolences to Terry and family.
As a coincidence, President Yvette and club member Elaine were staying last week with our Rotary Exchange Student, Celia Descargues and her parents Jacques and Nicole in Toulouse, France. Terry and Ange were Celia’s second parents during her time In Adelaide after she had stayed with Yvette and the late Tony Reade thirteen years ago.
Over dinner, Celia remembered the wonderful times over the six months she had with Terry and Ange Rodini.
Next Monday our club will be conducting our monthly Barbeque at Bunnings at Mile End and look forward to having enough Volunteers to cater for all three shifts.
This coming Thursday is Coffee Conversation at the White Picket Fence in Dulwich and Yvette & Elaine return home from Overseas.
Australian Rotary Health 'Lift the Lid' walk for mental health
The Foothills to City Rotary Clubs will host their LIFT THE LID WALKS on Sunday 9th November 2025, offering a choice of 2 great locations - South East Parklands or North East Linear Park.
These walks are a great way to spread awareness of the 1 in 5 Australians who are suffering from a mental illness. Help us Lift the Lid on Mental Illness this spring by walking!
Registrations from 8:00 am, a Welcome address at 8:30 am, before the 9:00 am walk start.

Getting away from their high-stress jobs, a couple spends relaxing weekends in their motor home.
When they found their peace and quiet disturbed by well-meaning, but unwelcome, visits from other campers, they devised a plan to assure themselves some privacy.
Now, when they set up camp, they place this sign on the door of their RV: “Insurance agent. Ask about our term-life package.”
