On Saturday 29 March, I will be attending the President’s Elect Learning & Development Seminar from 8.30am-4pm (for President Elect’s only); and on Sunday 30 March I’ll be attending the District Assembly. If any Director or Club member wishes to attend the District Assembly, please let me know so that you can be registered. This year the event will be held at The Observatory, 23 Hackney Road, Hackney (just down from the Wine Centre). District Assembly is a great venue to meet with Rotarians from other Clubs and learn how Rotary in our District operates. Let me know if you’d like to attend on 0419043042.

The attached article for the Yorke Peninsula Country Times is about the Northern Yorke Peninsula Rotary combined meeting at which John Wotherspoon spoke on Tuesday 4th March.
Unfortunately they misinterpreted what John said, since we haven’t done the water supply projects yet (just the birthing centre and the multi court) and the communal toilet block is just an idea at this stage. However, it is nice to be recognised for our Clubs support for Timor Leste
Mitchell’s three key Clare Valley vineyards range in altitude from 300 to 450 metres; the Sevenhill Vineyard, Alcatraz Vineyard and Growers Vineyard. Their Alcatraz Vineyard in the heart of Clare Valley was planted in 1962 on an exposed easterly facing slope and nicknamed "Alcatraz" as there was no escaping the cold, wet winter days spent working the vines. Its old vines are grown on red loam over limestone soils with an east-facing slope that receives the gentle morning sun but is sheltered from the direct sun in the heat of the afternoon. The dry grown vines are hand pruned and hand- picked with no artificial fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides used in growing these grapes. This largely explains why the vineyard produces award-winning quality wines year-on-year. This medium bodied, dry white wine is a delicious Riesling with generous flavour and refreshing acidity. It’s a crisp, mouth-watering wine that’s ready to drink now, comparing well to much more expensive wines.

The guard replies, "They are 73 million, four years, and six months old."
"That's a rather exact number," says the tourist. "How do you know their age so precisely?"
"Well," answers the guard, "The dinosaur bones were seventy-three million years old when I started working here, and that was four and a half years ago.
