Update on Ebola in Africa

Dr Rowland is a consultant physician specialising in infectious diseases.  The African Ebola epidemic has dropped off the media radar recently but still goes on, and she will bring us up to date regarding its current distribution, methods of containment and treatment, and what is in store for the future.  Interest in the subject follows Katina Jones' recent presentation on her work in Nigeria, a country which is Ebola-free; but club member Phil Harding will introduce Dr Rowland with a rather wonderful but very sad story concerning one reason why that is still the case.
