What does the future hold for Afghanistan
- Michael has spent most of his working life as a lecturer and later as Director of TAFE Institutes both in rural and Metropolitan SA.
- Since resigning from TAFE in 1998 he has worked as an International Consultant for the United Nations and Snowy Mountain Engineering Corporation in a number of developing countries including Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, China, the Solomon Islands and Afghanistan.
- He has undertaken nine missions to Afghanistan between 2002 and 2011 during which he contributed to the establishing of the country’s national vocational education and training system. More recently he was engaged in the reform and restructuring of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
- Tonight he will share his experience of working in Afghanistan and pose the question “What does the future hold for Afghanistan”?
