Tim established Hughes Public Relations in Adelaide 25 years ago to provide clients the power to influence action and opinion. As the consultancy’s principal, Tim guides a team of talented and experienced professionals to build and protect the reputation of companies nationally.

Tim and the Hughes team create value for clients, dramatically enhancing the effectiveness of their communication efforts whilst building their reputation capital. This approach has served clients across all industries as well as all levels of Government.

Over the past two decades Tim has advised clients in SA, nationally and internationally on a range of communication issues, driven strong award-winning, brand-building programs and established a sound reputation for issues and crisis management counsel.

A graduate of Flinders University, Tim began his career in current affairs journalism with the ABC and later worked for The Advertiser.  He was attracted to PR consulting due to its direct impact and effect on organisational achievement.  Tim is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and has served on the SA board of the PRIA. He is a regular lecturer on PR for the University of South Australia’s MBA course and sits on the Communications and Media Advisory Panel which guides curriculum development for the School of Communication, International Studies and Languages.
