Peter Jolly
Flying everything in sight

During his  25 year career in the RAAF, five years as an engineering officer and 20 years as a pilot, retired Wing Commander Peter Jolly flew a variety of aeroplanes from training machines like Winjeels, Vampires and Macchis, the Neptune maritime aircraft and transport aircraft Including Hercules, BAC1-11, Falcon 20 and  HS748. He instructed on Winjeels and Hercules and test flew Winjeels, Hercules and most executive jets then on the market. In his final posting as Commanding Officer of No34 VIP squadron, he was the chief pilot to the Prime Minister, Governor General and visiting Heads of State.  He was never a fighter pilot but has trained quite a few.  He is also an accomplished glider pilot.  His presentation to us will include stories ranging from the amazing to the hair raising.

In nine years as a Rotarian, he served on several club committees and two district committees..

Peter has recently returned from Canberra to Adelaide where he was educated, having grown up in Whyalla.
