Time for a Spring Tune Up:
  • Check your equipment
  • Make sure your equipment matches your game
  • Make any repairs needed (new grips, shoe cleats, etc.)
  • Take a lesson to reset your swing after the winter break
  • Prepare with regular stretching exercises
  • Jim recommends the Roger Fredricks Video for hitting longer and straighter
  • Visualize your shot before hitting the ball.  Seeing the perfect shot helps align the body for a better shot
  • Work on your short game (within 100 yards of the cup)
  • At the driving range start with the short clubs
A little forward shaft lean when putting will decrease club loft and help the ball roll better
In putting visualize a dime sized area and putt to that.  That visualized spot should get smaller the closer you are to the cup
Wear Sunblock and Sunglasses!
